Call for applications: PHD ASSISTANTSHIP AVAILABLE in insect systematics and evolution in the Lucky Lab at the University of Florida. Research Focus:
Insect systematics, speciation, biodiversity, ecology, population genetics,
evolution and/or citizen science. Focus on ants is preferred, but not required.
-Master’s degree in entomology, ecology and evolutionary biology or relevant biological science. Applicants with intellectual interest in ants and
evolutionary processes are especially encouraged to apply.
-Demonstrated ability to complete projects and publish results.
-Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
-Minimum GPA of 3.5 and competitive GRE scores.
-Experience with the following is an asset: insect classification, collections management, morphological and molecular systematics, bioinformatics, fieldwork.
